Sure, Rihanna have had a pretty shitty year, which also shows on her clothing, she's just all black. Black on the inside and black on the outside? Wouldn't be surprised if she did a cover of The Simth's old 'Unlovable' or Johnny Cash's 'Back In Black' soon.
Well, lame jokes a side, her latest solo single in more than a year that leaked yesterday is no exception from the black theme but who would have known that 'Russian Roulette' (produced by Ne-Yo) would be a snooze fest/emo-anthem of this calibre? Certainly not me... If depression were a track this would be it.
But all hope is not lost, there still some old good collabos in the works (from people such as Justin Timberlake, KanYe, Soulja Boy, Pharrell etc.) on her upcoming 4th album "Rated R" (scheduled to be released on November 23rd). And the one I'm looking forward to the most is that she has (according to Rolling Stone) also teamed up with drum & bass duo Chase & Status.
On a slightly lighter note than 'Russian Roulette', Wale's RihRih track 'Contemplate (Can I Endure)' (produced by Syience and samples Rihanna's 'Question Existing') leaked last week and even if it's still far from an uptempo track it's not as half as depressing.
