Kelow (US) Live @ Klubb Freshest - Stockholm, Sweden July 14

Sadly one of the most overlooked releases of 2011 was without a doubt Southern Maryland native and rapper Kelow's free debut album "Colored Pencils" (download here) on which she delivered a great piece of future in 13 tracks. Kelow's carefree, confident and expressive raps shines through in great tunes like 'Give It to Me', 'Press Buttons' ft. Robyn and 'LOUD!' to name a few and over all the album felt very ahead of it's time.

Charli XCX - 'You're the One' Official Video & OFWGKTA's The InternetRemix ft. Mike G

Charli XCX dropped her debut EP "You're the One" in the US last month (cop off iTunes here) and it's set to drop in the UK on August 19th via Asylum Records. On the release the Ariel Rechtshaid-produced single is remixed by Blood Orange but the most interesting remix comes from OFWGKTA's Syd tha Kyd and Matt Martians' constellation The Internet featuring Mike G. That one was featured on that "Heartbreaks and Earthquakes"-mixtape I wrote about a couple of weeks ago in time for the Hultsfred-festival. Have a listen to the it below as someone on the OF-forum has been crafty enough to make a cut out of the mix and grab the mixtape in full by downloading it here.

The official video for 'You're the One' dropped yesterday and at first it seems very reminiscent of Robyn's video for 'Call Your Girl-Friend' when she dances around in Buffalo's in a big warehouse but later on, nah not at all actually.
