Yo!
Sådär here it is:

Top 10 2009:

Låtar:
1. KiD CuDi ft. MGMT & Ratatat - 'Pursuit of Happiness'

2. Maluca - 'El Tigeraso' (prod. by Diplo)
Malucas hetsiga rap över en ännu hetsigare Diplo-produktion = cyborg merengue FTW!

3. Wale - '90210' (prod. by Mark Ronson)

5. Donnis - 'Gone'
"Diary Of An ATL Brave" var hands down ett av årets bästa mixtapes och 'Gone' ligger fortfarande på min .mp3-spelare. Donnis går i samma spår som KiD CuDi då han nu är signad till Fools Gold Recs och är definitivt ett av namnen att hålla utkik efter 2010.

6. Maskinen ft. Bonde do Role - 'Flow Ball' (prod. by Gorky Rodrigo)

7. P-Money - '1 Up' (prod. by Royal-T)

8. Ludacris & Shawnna - 'How Low' (prod. by T-Minus)

9. GLC ft. KanYe West & T-Pain - 'Flight School' (prod. by KanYe West & Arrowstar)
Baby, just forget everything that you, know let's take it all the way back to hello...

10. Chelley - 'Took the Night' (prod. by Ricky Blaze)

Album:
1. KiD CuDi - "Man on the Moon. The End of Day"

2. Lady GaGa - "The Fame Monster"

3. Major Lazer - "Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do"

4. Clipse - "Til the Casket Drops"

5. Young Money - "We Are Young Money"

7. Wale - "Attention: Deficit"
Wales debut var helt okej. Den speglade honom rätt bra, lite ojämn, lite sömnig på vissa ställen men 'Chillin' ft. Lady GaGa kompenserar såsigheten utan problem.

8. Maskinen - "Boyz II Men"

Mina absoluta favoriter: Celines Graffiti-möntrade cut-out sandals. http://www.thatshideous.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/celine-cut-out-sandals-476x1024.jpg

4. E!s "Candy Girls"

5. Kid CuDi @ Hultsfred 2009.

7. 8 Bit Revival #1
Jesse Tugboats 8-bits hiphop medley.
Jay-Z — 'Dirt Off Your Shoulders'
T.I — 'What You Know'
Chamillionaire — 'Ridin’'
Ludacris — 'What's Ya Fantasy'
Bonecrusher — 'Neva Scared'
Twista & Kanye — 'Overnight Celebrity'
Ludacris — 'Move Bitch'
Lil Jon — 'Get Low'
KanYe — 'Gold Digger'

Ladda ned HÄR!

ps. You dig? Kolla upp artister som Shifter, Nullsleep & Anamanaguchi.

8. 8 Bit Revival #2
Pato Pooh ft. Adam Tensta - 'Follow Me'.

10. Nails Did

Skillz - '2009 Rap-Up'

I have to admit, I never listen to VA's Skillz besides this time of year. I dunno, I've always found him to be kinda uninteresting... But them annual 'Rap-Ups' he's been yanking out since 2002 are always on point and they deserve mad love.

And this year is no exception, Skillz manage to recap everything (and a bit more) that happened in 2009 in his own witty and typical-generic-male-way-of-thinking clever way.

Don Cannon x The Cool Kids ft. Boldy James - 'Tires' (Off. Video)

Here's the official video for the best track that came out of Don Cannon & The Cool Kids "Merry Christmas" EP:

The Cool Kids debut album "When Fish Ride Bicycles" is scheduled for a release sometime in 2010 on C.A.K.E., Chocolate Ind. and XL Recordings.

'Take That': Doorly Steals Wiley & Chew Fu's Show

Yes, that Wiley x Chew Fu single is out today peeps, if you want it, go cop it, like over here

That said, here I was thinking to myself that "wow, a remix with all 3 former leading grime crew's such as Roll Deep, Fire Camp and Boy Better Know would be something extra special and at least grimy as hell". BOY, did I was wrong on that one. The BBK Vs Roll Deep Vs Fire Camp Remix actually makes Chew Fu's original sound horrific. Can't stress this too many times, I'm not the biggest fan of grime gone electro, and that was just... absolutely unbearable really.

Moving on to the good stuff, in other words: Martin Doorly. Doorly, who released his debut EP "Toys" in late October on Wax:on Music (buy it here and don't miss 'Horse Step' below from the EP, a familiar jump up 4x4 meets dubstep-type of track), completely steals the show on this single. Proper remixes as usual, esp. the first one in which he actually manages to make this track sound rather decent.

Michael Jackson - 'This Is It' (Official Video, 2nd Version)

I know many of you have been waiting for this, the full version of the second official video for Michel Jackson's 'This It It'.

This one directed by Spike Lee:

Sissy Nobby - 'Lay Me Down' Remix EP

Even thou the regular single hasn't been released yet, the remix EP of Sissy Nobby's 'Lay Me Down' was released the 22nd on Mixpak Records.

But this video for the L-Vis 1990 remix contribution is just awful, it gives me too many trance vibes and makes this great stripped down remix completely no justice at all:

DJ Sega's remix is off the flippin chain. Other remixes on the EP comes from A1 Bassline, Bitch Ass Darius, Kanji Kinetic and Renaissance Man. Buy it on iTunes or over at Juno.

OGz - "Oh Geezus It's X-Mas" Mixtape

The free Christmas Mixtapes just keep dropping in and I sure ain't complaining since so far, they all been superb!

Just when the magic of P-Money's "Money Over Everyone" Mixtape (one of the best grime releases in 2009, no doubt about it) started to wear off, I embrace this little goodie from them OG'z with my open arms.

Sidebar: Looking for that new Don Cannon x Cool Kids "Merry Christmas" EP? I wrote about it over here.

Lady Chann - 'Double Up' with South Rakkas Crew on the production steez. South Rakkas will give away a free album on Mad Decent next week, look out for that.

First Up!'s X-Mas Treats: Diplo, Wale, Chew Fu, Donnis, Juelz...

Merry X-Mas everybody!

No matter how much I do hate these type of lazy ass posts I have to do a big ol' cramming-it-all-into-one since Christmas sadly wont happen all by it self, still got shit loads of food to cook and lil' nieces to kiss and hug. So let's wrap some Christmas gifts into one giant one, starting with Diplo getting his Santa Claus on!

Yeah, Diplo simply wants you to rap people so he gives away a free beat for you to kick on. So I strongly suggest you go make something with it, festivus freestyle chestnut personal present chipmunk stockings preferred.

Then the dealioo is this, upload to the Mad Decent Soundcloud – and make sure you keep MDXMAS in the title somewhere so they can find it.

Second, Wale jumps on Young Money's 'Bedrock' for a stellar freestyle!

Third, Chew Fu works his magic on Rihanna's latest single ft. Young Jeezy. Speaking of Chew Fu, If you liked that 'Take That' x Wiley the single will officially be out the 28th, including 2 different remixes from Doorly and I guess a grimy one since since all 3 former big crews join forces for the 'BBK vs Roll Deep vs Fire Camp Remix'.

Fourth, Dj Benzi just begun to upload his, Mick Boogie's & D Star's third instalment of the classic mixtape series "Motivation!". This time it's hosted by Mike Posner and presented by DOPE Couture. In wait for the free DL, let's enjoy the first single off the mixtape from Benzi’s homie (and def one of the artist you should look out for in 2010) Donnis called 'Go Home'. This banger is produced by Chicago's own Chaise Marcel and suits my Christmas spirit perfectly.

Fifth and last, the NODJ version of that Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne joint 'Move the Damn Thing', confirmed to be a track on the upcoming "I Can’t Feel My Face" album (or mixtape).

That said, I wish y'all, without being cheezy, the best readers in the world a very merry X-Mas! Much luv!

Robin Thicke & KiD CuDi @ Club Nokia Live & THICK Remixes

Robin Thicke is now out on the "Sex Therapy" promo tour and the day before yesterday he hit Nokia Club up in LA together with Ryan Leslie and a bunch of surprising guests such as Game, KiD CuDi & Nicki Minaj.

Here's a clip from the show, when KiD CuDi joins in for 'Elevatas', (guess this was before Cudder was was pulled over at gunpoint by police in a case of mistaken identity as a burglar):

Then on to them remixes. First Urban Noize's of the undisputed best track off the album 'Shakin' It 4 Daddy' ft. Nicki Minaj.

Second, Ludacris, who shoots the video for 'How Low' today, jumps on the first single and the album title track 'Sex Therphy' and makes it like 10 times better than the original.

Christmas Sweets: Lady GaGa's Unreleased 'Kandy Life'

Gagafrontrow posted their Christmas present to all the Lady GaGa-fans of the world some days early but does it matter when it contained 5 early GaGa-demo tracks from 2007?

And one of them is still unreleased? This little demo was called "Kandy Life EP" and the title track is a sweet little gem that samples Ronald & Ruby's timeless old pearl earring 'Lollipop' performed by The Chordettes from 1958.

Guess it's time to put on that GaGa reindeer getup we've seen in the tabloids lately and heavily indulge on some Christmas sweets?

A First Glimpse of KiD CuDi's "How to Make It in America"

If we should sum up the past decade and name the best TV_channel, I must say, HBO was _THE_ channel as they landed all good series such as cash cows as "Sopranos" & "SaTC". And the beginning of the next decade seems to be turn out pretty great as well.

Because the 14th of February the Mark Wahlberg produced "How to Make It in America" premiers, a series about a bunch of 20-something New Yorkers, all trying to pursue the American Dream. One of them, "Domingo Dean" is interesting to say the least as he is played by KiD CuDi, and hopefully will be the springboard in Cudders career as an actor.

Here's the first teaser of the series and even if it's just 37 seconds long it looks promising:

The Pack - "The Pack Is Back" Mixtape

The Pack is back people! Yes, some of my fave Bay Area boys Young L, Stunnaman, Lil Uno & Lil B aren't out of the game as I though. Cause to be honest, at first when I read about this on their blog I wasn't thrilled at all. Their last mixtape "Wolfpack Musik Vol. 3: Screamin' Demons" that dropped last year never lasted long on my .mp3-player, but then I remembered old gold like 'Candy' and found the new 'Werk Bitch Werk' and got mad exited.

Here's the tracklist:

01. The Pack - 'Into'
02. The Pack - 'Touch Me' (iPhone)
03. The Pack - 'RIP Mike Jack'
04. The Pack ft. Husalah - 'Slappin'
05. The Pack - 'This Is It PACK'
06. The Pack - 'Agent Skully'
07. The Pack - 'The Wolves' (Skit)
08. The Pack ft. Jim Jones - 'Fly Erryday'
09. The Pack - 'Hoop Shorts'
10. The Pack - 'Alpine'
11. The Pack - 'I Luv My Sneakers'
12. The Pack - 'Switch It Up'
13. The Pack - 'Lil Uno Interlude'
14. The Pack - 'My Place'
15. The Pack - 'Hoes In This House'
16. The Pack - 'Ba Ba'
17. The Pack - 'Jackhammer'
18. The Pack - 'This Is It PACK 2'

The self-proclaimed pretty boy of the group Lil B recently became an official S.O.D. Money Gang affiliated artist, let's just hope all material he'll be penging out in the future looks and sounds like this:

Jay-Z ft. Mr Hudson - 'Young Forever' (Official Video)

Some have pointed out that I somehow forgot to put Jay-Z' "The Blueprint 3" on my best albums of 2009-list, but the truth be told I didn't (I forgot one another great album thou, Maskinen's "Boyz II Men", it should have been placed at number 6) "The Blueprint 3" was never on the map. Not even close. Get me?

But I gotta hand it to Jay, even if the new single 'Young Forever' (will be released the 11th of January) stinks as a track, samples of old Alphaville songs just feels too tacky, he sure knows how to make great videos:

Speaking of the old Hov, here's a joint off of Nigo's Teriyaki Boyz "Delicious Japanese" album, called 'Living The Life' and a pretty decent remix of 'Run This Town' the best track that came out of "The Blueprint 3" from L.A. based duo Wise Guise Productions.

Kano's New 'More Than One Way' (Official Video)

When the news of this new track from Kano arrived in my inbox I couldn't listen to it right away. I was so afraid that it would be another one on that 'Rock N Rolla'-type of shit. It's luckily not. Never had much faith in the words that comes outta Tim Weetwood but now I'm starting to lose it for the good old Zane Lowe as well. 'More Than One Way' is not the hottest single in the world as he claims. But as I said, it's not bad but it's quite... bland? Unnoticeable?

But sure, it's a nice mellow slow jam, I gotta give Kano that even if he has unfollowed me on Twitter. I hold no grudge.

The purpose with 'More Than One Way' is actually not a full-scale, conventional single release, no, the song is intended as a winter warmer to keep the home fires burning brightly ahead of further material and the new Kano (still untitled) forthcoming studio album - due out this spring that hopefully will keep it's promise to be a significant milestone of Kano's career, and I guess it fills it's purpose.

But the best thing about it is actually not KA nor the accompanied children’s choir, no the best thing about 'More Than One Way' is the production, the sparse, atmospheric beat made by up and the coming Dutch outfit Noisia.

Here's the official video, directed by Emil Nava shot down by river Thames earlier this month:

First Up! presents: The Best 10 Albums of 2009

Yepp, 2009 is almost over, a new decade is waiting around the corner and everyone has gone completely mad trying to sum up the past 10 years. The worst word that got hyped in 2009 was the word 'throwback', I seriously can't stand it, I don't do throwbacks. Soooo, I'm not gonna do a decade round up.

The first reason, I think the whole thing is overrated (even if I do love listing things), I honestly don't read them so why oh why spill precious time dwelling in old shit? Second, I simply don't have that type of memory. Since the stress related breakdown I had some years ago I barley recall last week...

So let's keep it simple, leave the old behind, focus on the now and stay in this year okay? And something we've been hearing all year is that the album format is dead, but it isn't dead people and 2009 sure was the year to prove it:

1. KiD CuDi - "Man on the Moon. The End of Day" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

It's kinda hard to review an album when the only words you have to say about it is positive worn out ones like: "Brilliant", "Masterpiece" and "Historic". But them words describes exactly what Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi's debut album is: A brilliant historic masterpiece.

2. Lady GaGa - "The Fame Monster" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Never had the chance to write this review since my laptop cached just in time for it's release. The album's eight songs were initially intended to be part of a re-release of GaGa's debut album "The Fame". However, GaGa announced that the new songs would be available as a stand alone album, as she thought the re-release was too expensive and that, "as the piece represents a separate conceptual and musical body of work, it does not need the songs of The Fame to support it". And boy was she right, every single track off "The Fame Monster" is strong single material.

3. Major Lazer - "Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ X

I must say, people have always hyped Dilpo up, both as a musician and as eye-candy, and okay, some of Diplo's work is super good and super talented but some is not. This made up story about Major Lazer along with Switch however, is a struck of genius. It's the perfect get away from b-more, house and contributing to the work of other artists for them both.

4. Clipse - "Til the Casket Drops" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ X

To be blunt, "Til the Casket Drops" lacks a single of the 'Wamp Wamp (What It Do)'-calibre from the previous "Hell Hath No Fury" but it really doesn't matter, as a whole "Til the Casket Drops" is a great album that actually manages to fulfil my huge expectations I've had since the mixtape "Road To Till The Casket Drops" dropped a year ago. I got noting to complain about.

5. Young Money - "We Are Young Money" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ X

One great side about "We Are Young Money" are the productions. David Banner manages to pick himself up on 'Streets Is Watchin', Kane Beatz does an amazing job on most tracks, Tha Bizness shines on 'Mrs. Parker' but the best productions comes from Chase N. Cashe, no question about it. 'New Shit' is superb in it's complex simplicity and so is 'Pass the Dutch'.

'Roger That' makes me long for Nicki Minaj's upcoming album more than ever, girl actually got flows tighter than a dick in a butt.

6. Dizzee Rascal - "Tongue N' Cheek" | ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ X

Tongue N' Cheek" is not a grime album. If truth be told, Dylan Mills left grime long time ago and "Tongue N' Cheek" is his biggest departure from grime yet, it's a full on dance record.

Dance... Yeah, on paper things sounds a bit iffy to say the least. First, If you read the production credits you'll find the name Tiësto, the Dutch Euro trance master and I can't think of anyone that screams more "Ibiza Uncensored"

7. Wale - "Attention: Deficit" | ♥ ♥ ♥ X X

All and all, a good album, a fair debut, came out way over my expectations. But the biggest issue I have with Wale still remains after this, he and the album is so uneven, like 50% of what he does is bat shit crazy good and the rest of the 50% is like I said, on that sleepy-diazapam-level.

8. R. Kelly - "Untitled" | ♥ ♥ ♥ X X

Say what you want about Robert Sylvester Kelly, I still love that misogynist golden shower boy trapped in a man's body, with a mind of a sexual frustrated Aaron Spelling.

One thing that's for sure is that he isn't out to renew himself with this, the "Untitled", Kellz' ninth studio album.

9. Kid Sister - "Ultraviolet" | ♥ ♥ ♥ X X

Today's the day when all nail technicians in the world should head out of the beauty parlor and peep by the nearest record shop to buy an album. That album I have in mind is Melisa Young's aka. Kid Sister's long awaited debut "Ultraviolet" released today on Fool's Gold / Downtown Records. Can't think of a better way to show reciprocity actually, cause not since the days of the sprinter Florence "Flo Jo" Griffith-Joyner, someone have had that form of impact on women all over to start pay attention to their nails and getting flipped nail designs did.

10. Newham Generals- "Generally Speaking" | ♥ ♥ ♥ X X

Now it feels like I’m only complaining, that’s not my intent at all as there is actually not a single bad track on "Generally Speaking". The proper CDQ of Bell Them Slags is pretty AMAZING, Violence ft. Dizzee and G-Man (other guests featured on the album is Chrome and Slash-E) is really good, Supadupe is a visit back to good radio sets and I could go on and on.
