I've got some type of love/hate-feel when it comes to Mike Posner, but I can't really put my finger on what it is about him that rubs me the wrong way. One one hand I loved his verse on Benny Blanco's remix of 3OH!3's 'Don't Trust Me' but on the other I got so creeped out by the cover of his the second mixtape "One Foot Out The Door" that was released the last days of October I couldn't write about it. Surrealism of the Dali-kind never was my thing, I'm more of a pomo-art girl. Jenny Holzer, holla! But the thing is, when I've listened to one Mike Posner track the right amount of times I find myself humming it so well, maybe he just needs time to grow on me that's all.
So, at first I didn't liked this 'Drug Dealer Girl'-track at all but now I love it and the remix with Wale from the "DJ Benzi presents The Elitaste CMJ Mixtape" is damn good and I guess since he got a big mixtape hostage on Mick Boogie, Dj Benzi and DStar's "Motivation III" on the way, manges to get on the cover of the URB Digital Issue and developed his signature sound into a movement that has gotten him signed to J Records I'm better off better shutting my little pie hole and learn to love him, even if it takes me several listens.
