Yeah Amanda Blank, I Might Like U Better If We Slept...

I've tried a million times (perhaps not a million but it sure feels like it) to fall head over heels for Amanda Blank but it's not happening for me like it does for everyone else. She clashes the same way Santigold did for me. Sure it's okay to listen to but I rather hit the skip button and listen to something else.

It's all too sad really cause I loved miss Blank's features on the N.A.S.A-album, on the "Bmore Gutter Music", the works from Spank Rock like 'Bump' etc. I feel like a obstinate child but her debut solo album "I Love You" (with productions from Diplo, Switch, XXXchange) that was released last week on Downtown Records (buy the album here), nah. Everyone else in the world seems to think that it's a fucking masterpiece, every review I've read so far is rating it 4 or 5 but let's not sugarcoat shit, I don't. It's just like bad sex to me, uncomfortable, skip skip skip, hold on to and enjoy 'Gimmie What You Got' with Spank Rock then put an end to the misery. Ouch, harsh words sorry...

To be frank, at first I didn't like this remix of the first single 'Might Like You Better' from Blaqstarr either, but it has grown on me. I expected a b-more banger, not mid-tempo, however, it's far away from meaningless collaborations with Lykke Li like in 'Leaving You Behind' = good in my book.
